It's International Women's Day. Show some love to the women in your life and take a moment to consider all the women and the girls in the world that need our help, think of what you can do to reach out to support them.

essay I wrote for @pastemagazine.bsky.social on Dylan's first Sinatra album, Shadows in the Night (which turns 10 today), but more broadly about Dylan's voice and how crucial it is to his artistry. adding anything new to the convo? idk. but it was fun to write

I was lucky to read the ms. of this a while ago and the book has stayed with me ever since. The whole time since then and now I've been dying to for it to come out so that I could recommend it to anyone who will listen to me. I just love this book so much.

I feel a bit like a grade school kid saying come see the art from my art class. But there are some terrific artists in this group who are well worth supporting. They're also lovely people so if you come you'll see some great art and have some good conversations.
