23mm photograph of a side street with big stone arches and flaking paint. in the foreground is a sign for a wine bar and at the end of the street is a man exiting. wish i took this with a tighter aperture as there’s a decent leading line but you can’t enjoy any of the detail on the man’s shirt because he’s out of focus!! 50mm photograph of a covered pavement with. fairly strong leading lines and i like all the sharp differences in shadow and light on the arches but again there isn’t much reward for the viewer when they do follow the lines to the end of the tunnel! 50mm photograph of a woman strolling down a street. behind her is a colossal building with an engraving of a woman with a halo holding a baby (mother mary and jesus?). there are large tags and a throwie at the foot of the building and there are a bunch of different traffic lights.

big weekend in prague
50mm photograph of a building across the street where two women are having their morning coffee and vapes. they are standing on a big stone balcony above a shop. the whole building has a pink-ish orange-ish tone. in the foreground is an out of focus red tram stop 50mm of a woman on a moving tram, she is looking directly into the camera and does not look impressed. the tram looks to be from the 80s? and has thick streaks of dirt down its side, the tram itself is cream coloured with a big horizontal red bar in the middle. the tram came to a stop and i overtook it, the next time i looked at her i had a big grin on my face because i loved the photograph and she smiled back. so i guess she wasn’t *that* annoyed 50mm photograph of a woman looking into an art shop window, the photograph isn’t framed wel but the huge shop windows have a teal or turquoise tone, accentuated by the gold/brass window frames. the stone, grates, and the woman’s clothes are all an assortment of brown tones. i just quite like the colours in this one 50mm photograph of a grave. the writing on the grave reads: PAMATOE ZEMRELYCH RODICU PAVLA BERNARDA 1817 + 1890 KATERINY BERNARDOVÉ 1818 + 1892 FRANTISEK BERNARD 1858 + 1911 the in front of the grave, embedded in the ground surrounded by dry leaves and moss, is a thick stone cross. there is a space on top of the tombstone for the cross

another weekend in london this time hanging around the City. definitely want to go back with my film camera and a tripod as we’re getting to that time when everything is getting bleaker
23mm black and white photo of a street corner in london covered in graffiti. there’s a mix of tags, throw ups, and murals but prominently are two pieces from King Mul, a favourite artist of mine and i was very happy to see his work unexpectedly!! 23mm black and white photo taken inside the crypt of the John Soane museum, two japanese lion dogs sitting within an internal wall frame? backlit by light coming in from the ceiling 50mm cropped black and white photo of reflections of the Lloyd’s building in London, the reflections get more distorted towards the top of the image, changing the ordered concrete outcropping into various twisted shapes. The distortion of the rooms and confusing of the staircase kind of reminds me of the 2020 era of AI images? Where it’d spit out images that look like something until you look closer, and the more you interrogate it the more it looks like nothing at all 23mm black and white photo of the Lloyd’s building from street level. The ducting for the building is done on the outside and the whole building looks more like something you’d see in Naoya Hatakeyama’s Lime Works series
