Whoa! Immigrants come here with nothing and the next thing you know they’re buying houses that established citizens cannot afford? Those enterprising newcomers sound like just the sort of folks we need. Never mind that JD’s premise is as BS as his 30M number.
JD Vance: "A lot of young people are saying housing is way too expensive. Why is that? Because we flooded the country with 30 million illegal immigrants who were taking houses that ought by right go to American citizens."

Only Donald Trump could assert, in all seriousness, that the most important factor in a superpower's military might is ... branding.
Trump: "We have officially renamed the Dept of Defense back to the original name, Dept of War. And remember we won World War 1, we won World War 2, we won everything in between. We won everything that came before. And then we brilliantly decided to change the name. We became politically correct"

They already had this, when they passed axing ACA credits. There's no ambiguity that Republicans did that and you can attack them for it. The marginal advantage of having another vote for messaging purposes is, at best, extremely thin, and even negative if it lets some Rs cast a meaningless yes vote
Kaine on why he thinks just getting a vote on healthcare is a win: "We're the minority party, but everybody will get to see who is standing for them when it comes to lowering their healthcare costs"

especially enraging because of course there is absolutely nothing wrong with using an autopen, but there is in fact something wrong with pardoning someone as a quid pro quo and not even knowing who it is.

also what the fuck with the ridiculous hat.
COLLINS: But the argument from Republicans is that Biden used an autopen for pardons and didn't know who he was pardoning. Trump is openly saying he did not know who he was pardoning.

MARKWAYNE MULLIN: He said it was recommended to him. He gets a lot of recommendations. He pardons a lot of people.

No doubt they cleaned it up for the broadcast, and Bari Weiss is proud of herself.

IDK what to think about Norah O'Donnell. She used to be a journalist, but now she just lets a lying liar lie repeatedly without ever presenting facts. It's infuriating, insulting, and dangerous to democracy.

Trump just admitted he knew nothing about someone he pardoned, which either means he's lying to avoid answering further questions or is being told whom to pardon by others and just doing so. The NYT has printed multiple items from this interview-- but nothing on this as of 10:06 ET
O'DONNELL: Why did you pardon Changpeng Zhao?

TRUMP: Are you ready? I don't know who he is

O'DONNELL: His crypto exchange Binance helped facilitate a $2b purchase of World Liberty Financial's stablecoin. And they you pardoned him.

TRUMP: Here's the thing -- I know nothing about it

Let's take a moment to consider the billionaires who've allegedly donated hundreds of millions of dollars for the construction of the Epstein Ballroom in comparison with the everyday Americans who've donated what they can spare to those who've lost their SNAP benefits.
