The entire purpose of The Government is too keep people fed and active. That is what it was created for in the first place. Limiting what people can buy for food isn't "Freedom" by any means and kills the idea of "The Free Market". Hypocrisy is a strong point of naive people.

Calling the right 'woke' just doesn't make sense either with the original usage or even the colloquial use. Conservatives are just fundamentally opposed to equity and equal opportunity or acknowledging that these systems of oppression/privilege even exist.

"Wage slaves" is NOT a metaphor. We are literally slaves. If you live paycheck to paycheck, you are only meeting the bear minimum standards for getting by. Just because you seemingly have a choice in careers, those choices are still slave wages. You get to pick who exploits you.
