I bought “grape” flavoured children’s Advil months ago because I thought that would be fun but it tastes like ass and they’re too big to swallow whole so whenever I get cramps I have to eat 2-4 of these drywall dust and acetone tasting pills cuz they’re only 100mg

I went ahead and drew Koharu again. Pseudorcas are still pretty challenging to draw, but that won't stop me from drawing my OCs.

In case anyone wondered what a taxidermied dolphin looks like. I think there's a reason you see dolphin models in museums and not genuine taxidermy...

It’s #WorldWalrusDay so it’s a good excuse to repost this #HandEmbroidery version I made recently, based on an 1579 illustration.

The smallest most useless pocket on any bag automatically becomes the Pad Pocket to me. You put pads in there and then you forget about them for 8 months until you suddenly really REALLY need them

I’ve been needing so many different obscure batteries lately it’s very annoying

I haven’t been drawing a lot of big pieces lately but I HAVE been drawing a grab bag of cryptids, mostly obscure or interesting ones that don’t have illustrations.

A couple recent ones, the Indonesian yellow mothman and the Pingtung monster.

I was discussing this with a film school friend they were very supportive like “yeah I think that’s got potential you should write it” but I was absolutely burying the lede (didn’t mention two of the main characters are anthro animals)

This is how I tried describing them in normie terms

I’ve been in a writing dry spell so for shits and giggles I’ve been writing a furry short film screenplay called SHUCKED, about an obscure British hip hop group that inspired a young Canadian to be a conservationist. These are the main dudes, Running Buck and Two Rivers

I kind of love second hand books full of scribbles.

Whoever had this William Blake compendium before me was trying to figure out his invented mythology as well

A humble request:

Does anybody have a screen recording of the cryptid British big cat panel from TetZooCon 2020?

I want to rewatch it to hopefully glean more firsthand sources on the subject.

Impromptu Egyptian-style brain surgery for my mari lwyd cuz she makes her feature film debut this Saturday and I want her jaw to be controllable. Folk art is great cuz there’s never any tutorials for stuff like this

I made three sisters soup without a recipe because all the recipes I was finding online looked like some bullshit so I made this based on a description I heard like 10 years ago

Tastes pretty good

Some shots of the main studio room I furnished for our short film last month. This was supposed to be beatnik pad circa 1959, hence the antiquated decor. That (working!) typewriter was my proudest score

Watched Clearcut last night. Unfortunately I only heard about it after Graham Greene’s recent passing, but it was really good.

Occasionally I stumble across an indie endeavour that actually goes incredibly hard instead of trying to be something it can’t and this is one of those cases.

Personal update because I never post here: I’ve gotten really into Oliver Reed and watched several of his movies, I’m REALLY REALLY into Jamiroquai, I helped make a short film, I saw Cold War Kids and was nearly headbutted by the singer and starting last week I now ship Green Lantern x Mr. Terrific

#Fireworks appeared in Japan sometime around 1600 and were called hanabi — a combination of the kanji “fire” and “flower”.
