I kind of want a documentary on what French's Mustard corporate headquarters looked like today on the first business day after the Lane Kiffin to LSU move was confirmed LOL........

CFP hopeful, 8-4, 8-4 and 6-6 thanks to barely beating Rutgers - Just as everybody drew it up before the season...

(Holding finger to my earpiece)

So, wait, Illinois isn't the 6-6 team?

Then it has to be James Madison, right?

OK, then it has to be Tennessee after losing Nico, correct?

Time to say farewell to one of the greatest sports traditions unlike any other:

Mark Stoops not getting fired at Kentucky due to the most famous buyout in the history of mankind LOL...

With the Rams losing in Carolina moments ago, the Bears are the 1 seed and the Rams are the 2 seed in the NFC.

Just like 1985?!?!?!?!? Pat, take it away.........

Auburn with the Illinois "We can't catch a crucial punt" play but then Alabama can't recover it.

What is going on?!?!?!?!?!?!?

And now Cal is throwing the ACC into chaos!

College football, baby!

OH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
If Auburn scores a touchdown here, they should call the absolutely most insane two-point conversion play in their playbook.

Even your old pal BC gets one or two right here and there!
Finally, the 2025 Illinois Football season begins tonight.

My prediction: 8-4

And I would be totally OK with that.

Yes, there's potential for more. However, Illinois won 5/6 close games last year even while being out-gained. I just don't see that being totally sustainable.

This will not go into the ranks of well-played football games.
Illinois and Northwestern both trying to figure how to lose the same football game is, um, rather interesting?!?!?!?

The Illinois and Northwestern players when they get to the locker room at halftime:

I would love to somehow see a team get a 1st & Goal at the 1, then take 20 consecutive penalties to be at their own 1, just to see if the Illinois Football defense could stop a team that needs 99 yards in 4 plays because I legitimately don't think this Illinois defense could get that stop.

"The game before the Illinois game running long" is my longest-running joke because it is somehow stays true through increasingly unbelievable circumstances - Like the Cincy/TCU lightning delay today just hours before Illinois/Northwestern starts in an almost blizzard...

There's literally one highlight for Illinois Football snow games at home LOL.....

Want to thank Chicago-area boy Jake Elliott for missing that field goal there to lock up the Bears win!
November 28, 2025 at 11:03 PM
Honestly might have been tempted to make a *safe* pass there on 2nd down. The two minute warning was going to hit no matter what after that play, might as well try to surprise Philly there and seal the win..........
November 28, 2025 at 10:55 PM
The Philly stadium people playing the Bulls' pre-game song right before the onside kick was a good omen my frents LOL....
November 28, 2025 at 10:49 PM
Interesting call by Philly there to go for 2. I think if they had made it they obviously would have done a regular kickoff, now I think they have to go with the onside kick...

The Chicago Bears are making me feel new and different things?!?!?!?!?

ESPN/ABC must have 22 field mics pointed right at the bands in the Georgia/Georgia Tech game, yikes.

(Don't get me wrong, I love hearing bands during college football games, just not at "jet airplane" volume levels.)

Find somebody that looks at you the way the Illinois Basketball team looks at brickable three-point shots.
Illinois Basketball against UConn at 11:30 this morning... The Bears against the Eagles at 2... And Illinois Football possibly in the middle of a snow-storm against Northwestern tomorrow night...

Every Midwestern dad: "You gotta establish the run! And remember that defense wins championships!"
Approaching dangerous levels of midwestern today. Walked the dog at our neighborhood park and saw a gaggle of dads, doing a thanksgiving turkey bowl…running the ball. Off tackle again and again.
