The idea that sexual abuse is part of “private” life instead of a public crisis has done incalculable damage. Anti-rape activists have to fight to even make it possible to expose sexual abuse as a wrongdoing in public without being silenced and undermined. That fight is far from won

My second book is officially out now.

I wrote them pretty much at the same time, with Nothing Becomes being an examination of the 'what' from a single moment in time, and Living in the Moment being the 'how'.

A book for people whose minds won't shut up and just let them live.

Having to focus on how movement looks, sounds, and feels is why enjoy martial arts. I could exercise on a treadmill, but I would 100% stay stuck in the anxiety in my head. With MA, I have to climb out of my head and focus on my body.

That's mindfulness.

Plus, it's practice punching Nazis.
This morning’s swordplay.

The joy of learning something new (and on your own) is permission to just focus on how something sounds and feels.

I’m a sensory person. I find the sound of wind, metal quite satisfying, and meditative in the morning. #jian #straightsword

It's a book that explores the convergence of Eastern traditions and modern physics through a personal lens, exploring the threshold between what we know and what is.
