Cervical cancer silently claims lives | The Express Tribune
PUBLISHED May 11, 2025 KARACHI: In a patriarchal society, where women’s reproductive health is a hushed affair, the secondary socialisation of young women encourages them to silently endure the suffering that comes with having a womb since physical pain is considered a normal aspect of womanhood. He spoke three or four Indian languages that very few people did.” “I think we may be brushing over his contempt for Indians when we talk about the fact that he knew four languages and certainly your recollection or understanding of how he was received by Indians would certainly be at odds with what we understand and what is written about him,” are the contradictory words of Raj Kohli, whose great grand uncle was a survivor of the massacre.
