Honestly love to see this team defend their goalie. Few years back they’d just be watching players crash the crease.

Kinda wild how different the lineup feels with Trocheck. He scored his second of the game and season to put the Rangers up 6-3.

The Rangers goals continue to be weird ones. Trocheck got his first of the season after sending it past Vasilevskiy who fell when trying to slide over to square up to him.

The Lightning scored a shorthanded goal and were so incredibly close to getting a second shorthanded goal. Rangers power play was not on the same page. I love the idea for the second unit but it’s clear they need more time practicing together.

Another weird deflection goal this time for Borgen. Tampa Bay has twice as many shots but the Rangers have twice as many goals. What a strange game so far.

Sabourin with an incredible wrist shot beat Igor to cut the lead to one. Nothing against Scott Sabourin, but I did not think he had that in him.

Who is this team? I know I’ve been a Debbie downer during their struggle at home but in the beginning of the year I wrote about and did think once they had some time to gel with Sullivan’s new system things would start clicking into place.

This fourth line of Tampa challenges the Rangers for tallest in the league. Douglas is an absolute mountain and Finley is a beast as well.
