And MAGA’s won’t pay attention because they stopped listening when they heard you don’t support him anymore. 🤷🏻😒

Oh look — disgraced Tennessee Republican former Rep. Robin Smith (also former TN GOP chair), who rolled on Speaker Casada and sang like a canary, is asking Trump for a pardon for her federal corruption crimes. www.timesfreepress.com/news/2025/no...
I always feel like this, too. I thought I was being a goober.

Bananas are cheap because nobody wants them anymore. 50 or 60 years ago, bananas were flavorful and we enjoyed eating them.
Bananas today are in danger of extinction and have been genetically modified so much to prevent extinction that they’re as tasteless as tofu.

The billionaires and trillionaires had no clue of this concept. They dont even know what a gallon of milk cost, much less a gallon of gas.
People jump on other social media & “swear” they’ve seen people buy lobster & steak w/SNAP. Even if true they’ll barely have funds by the end of the month, so they won’t do it again. Or maybe it was just a treat for a birthday. Poverty shouldn’t equal zero joy.

Frankly doesn’t matter why they buy pizza. It’s good for everyone regardless. I have a problem with billionaires hoarding the money welfare we give them.

Some EBT/SNAP should be treated like WIC. They can buy certain items like vegetables fruits milk eggs cheese and healthy items. No matter the price.

People who ask questions like that obviously have never had to worry about making grocery money stretch to last a week, much less a month... so they should sit down & just STFU.

Thank you for that. People would be shocked to their core if they knew the number of housing-insecure and food-insecure students there are on a college campus.

The food pantries are a brilliant concept and open the door for students in need to receive support in a multitude of ways.

Plus you have to have several forms of ID and an address to get a job. Years ago, when I worked for Catholic Charities homeless outreach, we told people they could use our office address. Our big task was helping people get ID (ss card, state ID, birth cert).

1. Homeless can't cook, no public grills in parks
2. Homeless can't store fresh food no refrigeration
3. Homeless eats pizza because it's a balanced diet for the money they spend
4. Homeless has no choice but to use EBT because nobody wants to HIRE them while dragging their clothes around

And don't forget the food deserts in poorer neighborhoods. You can't buy fresh fruits and vegetables if the stores where you live don't have them.

Isn’t it remarkable that people who have never suffered one day of real poverty like to lecture others on how to be poor?

This. If you want shelf-stable stuff, it's going to be loaded with unhealthy preservatives. But what's the alternative other than getting folks the assistance to HAVE a place to store and prepare decent fresh food? That seems a long way off in this execrable administration.

Current wait list for Sec8 is almost 20yrs.

Decades of oppressive legislation destroyed our societies & now our Republic is ☠️.

We need to redesign the sys against oppression of any kind once we take our nation back. We've been using the wrong refs. We need to use the Ref's our FFs, used 2 🛑 this

People complaining about food insecurity have no idea what it means. If some kids didn’t have frozen pizza, they’d eat nothing. Fresh vegetables are great: they’re not affordable to all. Many people using EBT or SNAP don’t even have a proper grocery store near them. They buy what DollarTree has.

The prices in Canada are disgusting as well. They have only a few companies who control our entire food industry, and about 10 major companies worldwide control about 70% of the market. So, we get shafted.

Because the government subsidizes crops like corn used to make corn syrup, rather then healthy food crops. It’s fine to say such in such foods are bad for you…. But when policy makes those foods cheaper, what message is really being sent.

Or if you buy Totino’s you can get them on sale $5 for 10 pizzas. People who have never been hungry shouldn’t be allowed to run for office. Give me someone who struggled & became successful on their own. One who hasn’t cheated to get there. Or gotten $ from daddy. Cried bc their child was hungry.

If you buy potato chips that have less salt they charge you more.

If you buy cereal with less sugar they charge you more.

Organic food costs more.

Any attempt to become a healthier shopper costs you more.

You get penalized.

Patterns and fractals.

Why do people buy pizza with EBT?

Because cauliflower is five dollars a head and you can buy five pizzas with the same money.

It’s not that folks don’t want to be healthy. They can’t afford to be healthy.
