Now that Pen’s backstory is out I’ve loved seeing all the varying opinions on whether he deserved to be in hell or not because that’s the point!! Personally I feel strongly a certain way and I’ve seen others feel the opposite and I LOVE that! We don’t have the answers but it’s so fun to explore ❤️

I love the symbolism in this scene of Blitzø climbing the tree while regaling Stolas with his lofty dreams, all while Stolas sits nestled in the roots, the weight of that new grimoire heavy in his lap.

Eventually, Stolas did climb, but suffered a fall. I hope he'll get back up there with Blitzø.
