Claude tells me that the current world population of about 8 billion represents roughly 7% of all humans who have ever lived. And the estimate of all homo sapiens to have ever lived is 117 billion. Who knew?

Trump kind of gets that the id of anti-immigrant sentiment is dislike of immigrants themselves, Vance always tries to weirdly intellectualize it like people are secretly actually upset about immigrants because of housing affordability/wages/etc
