Okay, thanks for awkwardly hitting the relatable feels already.

But I have 40 pages left in my books and I am STRESSED and I need to finish this but my eyes are betraying me. Someone tell myself I can not stop where I'm at.

I am so frustrated by Gertie, which I can't explain without giving any kind of spoilers, but man is the frustration real.
That aside, if (when? 😏) this gets made for the screen, I have the perfect person in mind for her role. Wunmi Mosaku

11 pages in, not even out of the introduction, and I'm wondering if this book may be too smart for me. Or should I not read it when I'm getting tired.

Finally reading A Long Stretch of Bad Days by @mindymcginnis.bsky.social
Every time I open up one of her books, I'm reminded how amazing her skill is with making realistic teen characters who act in ways that aren't watered down or "nice".
If you haven't checked her books out yet, HERE'S YOUR SIGN.

Finished Vol. 5 of the series Monstress. I wish I knew more who read these. The take on racism, homosexuality, being a woman, being in pain & suffering, is all told with top notch storytelling by Marjorie Liu & phenomenal artwork by Sana Takeda. I'm reading them as fast as the library gets them in.

Sitting on the front porch of where I'll be moving to this summer. Book out, rain gently falling, birds doing their bird things, church bells softly playing in the distance.
