My favorite part of Terminator 2 is when Sarah Connors goes to Cyberdyne and tells the computers that they can destroy civilization this one time so that next time the humans will have built up goodwill and we can negotiate fairly.

Big day at U.S. District Court in D.C. where Sean Dunn, the D.C. Sandwich Guy, is on trial for misdemeanor assault of a federal officer.

Border Patrol agent Gregory Lairmore is on the stand narrating surveillance video of the sammie toss.

'Now he’s struck me with the sandwich,' Lairmore says.

A whole bunch of things can be true at once...

Our country is better when free speech is protected, even and especially when we disagree with it AND

Our citizens are being encouraged via that free speech to commit violent acts because we see people who disagree with us as an existential thread AND

The left better start figuring out how to weaponize today's decision rather than just (rightfully) criticizing it.

- Go back into Judge Kaczmaryk's court to dissolve all of his nationwide orders.

- Pass gun bans and insist any order applies only to plaintiffs.

My personal rule for SCOTUS decisions? If when applied to the Obama or Biden admin I would have called the decision a win, it isn't quite as simple as "stupid conservative justices."

If this had come out during the fight for ACA, I would have called it a win. So... I'm gonna read for awhile.

If your political life consists only of online rants and reposting screeds and "engaging" you are actively contributing to the kakistocracy.

Community is a real life, hands on, grind it out, small group, next door neighbor work.

And that is all that matters.

Bill Clinton offered a last-minute boost of support for Andrew Cuomo by endorsing him in the New York City mayor’s race on Sunday, the last day of early voting.
Bill Clinton Endorses Andrew Cuomo for NYC Mayor
The former president’s endorsement is the latest example of how establishment Democrats seem to prefer Mr. Cuomo to his prime rival, Zohran Mamdani.

I guess I knew on some level we would lose Skrmetti. I knew there was no way that hand picked court would consider an equal protection argument or even a limited powers argument. I know stare decisis is dead. But to see it written out like that, to see how cruel and senseless it is...
