How much more of this crap are we going to get handed? We (the public) have to fight back.
"Now, [the #ONgov has] officially legislated climate denial. It leaves Ontario with no plan, no targets and no accountability. We’re sailing into the storm of climate catastrophe with no compass, no map and no leadership. And it will cost us all."

Did the climate world misread Carney? Many voted for him based on his previous stance on climate only to be deeply disappointed. Turns out, he thinks the markets can solve the problem.

Did the climate world misread Carney?
Many in the climate movement saw a fellow traveller in Mark Carney — the man who could preach climate action in the language of finance — but what if they were wrong from the very start?

It was time a decade ago. It's way past time now.

Enviro studies graduates tell me that the only jobs on offer are in oil and gas.

That is cruel.

They desperately want to be part of building a thriving future, not burning it down.

They have the skills, they deserve the opportunities.
It’s time for the NDP to tell the truth: we must get off fossil fuels fast—with no worker left behind.

Today I’m unveiling our Green New Deal: a plan to tackle both the climate and affordability crises by creating 1M good jobs, lowering bills, and building a new economy.

Carney is gambling with our future.
December 1, 2025 at 5:22 PM
So disappointed in Carney.
"Since the April election, federal officials have recorded more than 220 meetings with oil and gas lobbyists — more meetings than days. The immense lobbying push was reflected in the federal budget, and continues to shape federal priorities."
The way to read the Canada-Alberta MOU is that Carney is using the Trump effect as political cover to pursue the deregulatory agenda he’s long wanted. I spoke with @naomiaklein.bsky.social who called it a classic example of the shock doctrine.

We live in a society awash in wealth. Big banks and big oil pull in tens of billions while public needs go unmet.

We need leaders willing to where the money is. A 1% tax on the wealthiest 1% could raise billions for strong, universal public services.
