This is the most ruthless act of union busting in the history of the UK games industry. Yesterday, @rockstargames.com unfairly fired over 30 employees for union activity.

We won't back down, and we're not scared - we will fight for every member to be reinstated.
BREAKING: Yesterday Grand Theft Auto VI maker Rockstar Games fired dozens of people, all of whom were involved in union efforts. A British union calls it "blatant and ruthless" union-busting. Take-Two Interactive says it was due to misconduct.

Here's the scoop: www.bloomberg.com/news/article...

In the midst of horrific mass killings and violence, British-made military equipment has been found in Sudan.

It's clear our arms export licensing system is not fit for purpose; we need a full review, alongside an embargo on all arms exports to the UAE now.

Every renter knows the housing situation is getting worse and worse

It’s not spontaneous or random, it’s the natural result of a housing being dictated by private landlords and corporate developers

Houses without lounges are a reality for renters
Nearly a third of homes advertised on a property sharing website had no living room.

Love this episode. Repeated refrain that we can’t wait to be rescued. Zack won’t do it. No saviours.

Exciting how many conversations I’ve had recently with people who’ve never been politically active saying “I want to start actually doing something”

Don’t vote. Organise.

@zackpolanski.bsky.social
Mikaela Loach is absolutely brilliant on today's episode btw

The word for someone detained without charge or trial is not “prisoner” and it is not “detainee”.

The word is hostage. Israel’s hostages must be freed from their kidnappers

With concerning stuff from Labour about digital ID, here’s a green policy👇

PA854: “The Green Party opposes the introduction of a general identity card, whether on a compulsory basis or on a “voluntary” basis tantamount to compulsion, and would seek to abolish such identity cards if introduced.”

This comes as incredibly disappointing but not surprising.

Labour are increasingly towing fringe anti-scientific positions promoted by quacks and con artists.

Labour won’t stop at climate destruction, nor with sexist delusions, and they won’t stop with this. If you think you’re fine, you’re next

Lots of good work in this motion. Let’s get this passed!
Let's abolish landlords!

The rental sector is broken. Renters give 1/3 of our income to pay off the debt on someone else's asset. This is a direct transfer of wealth from workers to asset holders.

It’s time we brought this to an end and built housing for everyone.

Nature does not do binaries. Anyone who tells you biology is simple is wrong

Why our organs cannot simply be classified as male or female
Biological sex is usually described in simple binary terms: male or female. This works well for germ cells (sperm versus eggs), but for other body organs it is of little help.

If Palestine falls, we’ll all the next dominos to fall

Resisting fascism, resisting genocide isn’t just moral, it’s practical

Fare-free strikes arn’t just popular, it’s a glimpse into a post-capitalist society dictated by need rather than profit

Exciting ideas worth considering
*Fare-Free Strike*

The basically-unknown union action that is illegal all over the world and yet incredibly popular when workers decide to do it anyway (illegally.)

Here's what it is and why I think @zackpolanski.bsky.social and @greenparty.org.uk should add it to their manifesto...

This is great

We need to expand this thinking to the tenants unions too!
Zack Polanski says he wants to see a 'much stronger relationship' between the Greens and trade unions.

"When pressed on whether that meant he wanted to see unions funding and affiliating to the Greens, he said: 'yes to all of that'"

Angela Rayner should’ve been sacked.

From backing the two-child benefit cap, cutting winter fuel & disability benefits to defending a government enabling genocide in Gaza — she repeatedly chose the government & its harmful policies over the working class & labour movement she claims to represent.

Labour have blocked Jeremy Corbyn’s motion for an official investigation into Britain’s complicity into the Genocide of Gaza

This should go beyond party politics, it’s about basic humanity. If we haven’t that then we have nothing. The fact an official inquiry was blocked is disgusting

There’s no room on the left for social reaction. No socialist leaves anyone behind, and that includes queer people, and racialised people.

Wreck it up the WPB if you can’t get your head around intersectional solidarity whilst claiming to be a socialist

At a time when Westminster is hated, the Greens and the new party absolutely need to be embedded in our communities.
