Didn’t plan on this developing this way but this is one of those planter saucers we put water in with rocks so the birds and insects have a place to light or crawl out on. The saucer is hard to get to so I just kept adding water to it all summer.

This was taken a day or two before the raccoons broke the stem and ate the entire flower head.

This is the mint bush that just started growing 10-15 years ago at the base of the stairs into the back yard. It started flowering a week or so ago - the bees seem to like it so I leave it alone.

Lat night’s sunset. I’m not sure if the wildfire smoke is enhancing things or it’s just the way it is. Either way I’m liking it.

This looks like it could be a stream or edge of a pond but it’s one of those saucers you put under a planter to hold water. I just left it out on the patio over winter and it filled up with water, leaves, pine and spruce needles.
