Something I never thought I’d ever say and feel pretty weird saying it even now:
I’d consider a vacation where every hour of every day was planned for me, by a tour guide, cruise director etc, so that I can actually take a break from the need to have “executive functioning” while still doing stuff.

One of the hardest pills to swallow, as it cut at everything that made me think I was cool, was the realization that the people called “woke”, “social justice warriors”, even the dreaded “politically correct” had a point and all us cool people were now living in fascism because we didn’t listen.

I've noticed that there's a tendency to see any group that we don't belong to as fundamentally annoying, simply because we're only ever exposed to the most annoying slice of that group, i.e. the ones who never shut the fuck up about it. But most members of these groups are actually pretty chill!
like yeah there are some annoying vegans online. you get an ambient amount of that with literally every political belief lol just block someone if they’re being a raging dick for no reason

Not trying to hijack what OP meant to be trans-specific topic, but damn, this resonates for a lot of people that are "late bloomers" as a result of any kind of neurodivergence, disability, illness, trauma, etc, that made us miss the chance to learn from our awkwardness when we were "supposed" to
