i know some of it is personnel, but also i am beginning to believe that john butler simply is not it. the adjustments he made to try to be better against the run hurt the excellent pass defense and then also didn't stop the run.
i maintain that this team has seen genuine improvement this year over last year's team, especially with a freshman qb in his second game on the road after being tossed in midseason but this constant shitting down their leg in road games with any stakes at all is the one thing that remains truly bad

also just to reiterate my point here from last week: while they clearly did not make the jump we all wanted them to make and some people expected for various reasons, this team is better than last year's and that is important

this season of bakeoff is fine, but after the casting of the past few years, it feels a little flat
the past two seasons had some all timers, and while there are some fun characters here, it's simply not measuring up on that portion
