I returned to the theater to see the original theatrical release of Star Wars as many times as I could in 1977. It pleases me that we’ll get a chance to see the original version on the big screen again after 50 years, and I do hope we have an opportunity to own a copy on 4K physical media.

I might be seeing the new SpongeBob movie with family. Given the unforeseen circumstances around SpongeBob’s new parent company, it was in production before Skydance bought Paramount, it might be one of the last Paramount distributed films I’ll see in a while with Aang being a sole exception.

Alice in Wonderland is getting a 4K remaster. The classic film from Walt Disney Animation Studios will reveal a new restoration at the 2026 TCM Classic Film Festival. I hope we get to see it soon on Blu-ray because the remasters of Cinderella and Snow White were so good.
