From a 60 year old case mould to the first porcelain cast this century. I adore this, the artistry and the fact it’s missing its foot piece, meaning the cast has taken on elements of the mould itself. It is both finished product and process in a single piece.

Super stoked I managed to achieve this old weathered mould look with porcelain. Pre fire so hopefully the kiln gods are feeling kind.

The plaster mould I turned from a jigger-jolly blade I found in the abandoned TGGreens factory. Originally a mould making blade, I flipped it round and turned a plaster model on which this porcelain piece is built.
Who says porcelain has to be delicate?
