Well dang, I do the arts. (She/Her/Whatever)

I keep forgetting to post in places. It's almost my favorite time of year!
Doing some painting with resin. I really love textures.
I'm thinking of doing a flash sale one of these days. The stuff is a little weird but...

So I've been learning math so coding makes more sense to me. I think one thing that legit blew my mind was that a square is a rectangle. There's a bunch of other stuff too but that one stands out right now. So weird.

Does anyone else feel like they want to make videos and be social online but never do because they feel they aren't good enough, other people talk about the same things and why would anyone care about you? I've been doing this dance for almost 10 years. I need advice.

Making a video game is hard lol.
I'm still not super great with perfect peeling, but I have tried the tapping until you hear a crack sound. It seems to create a micro crack that helps. I also peel with warm water since it seems to work for slipping that skin off under the shell.

Lemme know if it worked for you.
1. Fill the pan with enough water to cover the eggs
2. Add eggs to water
3. Turn heat on high
4. Once there's a rolling boil, set timer for 3 minutes
5. Once done, take off the burner, cover for 10 minutes
6. Peel under hot/warm water
I shall share with you my hard boiled egg recipe. I use a 3qt. saucepan, but it might be fine with other sizes.

I guess gifs don't work in here, but you'll just have to trust me haha.
I got Aseprite for my birthday and I'm now learning how to do some pixel art stuff! Behold my first thing! #pixelart #slime #aseprite
What's up everyone! I've been working on some new things and trying to make a schedule that works for me to get it all done. It's really hard. #planning #art #gamedev
Happy New Year!! I've been feeling a little down about not posting art or even doing art in quite a while, but hopefully I start picking up the pace and doing something. Hope you all have a great start to the new year!
I'll answer a common one now. Yes I dream. I can see in full color and everything.

I can also taste flavors with my imagination. This lets me mix seasonings and ingredients in my head before I cook and estimate the flavor. I'd like to think I'm 80%+ accurate.
I understand that I can't build an image library in my head, and that's fine because I never did anyway. I'm still the same person, but now I understand the, "why" a bit better. If this is something you have, feel free to talk about your experience or ask questions.
I learned how to break things down in a way that would help me remember better. My art never needed to change because it turned out I was imagining... on paper! I still need references for tons of stuff, but I get why now.
But along the way I realized, finding this out was all that was. I found out something about me I never realized. After I grieved my lack of head pictures (which took several months) I was able to better approach myself for learning and understanding what I was doing.
This realization could have been bad for me. I found out I had aphantasia in 2019 when this video graced my page: youtu.be/ewsGmhAjjjI

I freaked out and had all kinds of thoughts like, "I bet this is why I never caught on to books," or "Maybe this is why I'm not better with my art."
I have APHANTASIA (and you may too...without realising it!)

That "I'm Your GPU" song in the jungle from Astro's Playroom is so freaking good! It was such a neat game and it was basically a tech demo for the new controller. It's definitely a nice change of pace to see Astro Bot win.
I've been wanting to make a farming video game and have barely touched on code (C and python), but I want to do what I can. Wish me luck.

Sometimes I'm scared to share my art or art progress. It feels like someone will take it and use it for AI training. But then I feel that's an unreasonable feeling to have and it prevents me from sharing anything at all. How do you feel about showing progress art these days?
