my AI hot take is that tools like claude code that are pretty good at coding as an assistant with a knowledgeable person driving will stick around. But we're still along way from there being a real consumer level killer app from it.

Think I'm covered for Xmas and my Wife's Birthday. Some amazon some not. Did shop direct as much as possible.

Kids said they didn't know what they want. So that's going to be difficult to wrap.

Also bought me a pair of jeans in a mystery pick for the denim. So looking forward to that.

Got the timing down pretty good this year. Smoked the turkey roast. Roasted garlic and Gouda mashed potatoes came out great.
I think it’s nap time now

Checklist for today is smoking the boneless turkey roasts, Mashin the taters and roasting the yams.

I will also listen to Alice’s Restaurant watch the dog show and the parade.

Later I’ll finish the new episodes of stranger things

Tomorrow is omelette day. That’s the real deal.

Black friday is the worst thing ever. Don't start it early. Nobody likes black friday.

It's been rainy today. Each time the rain stops the sun peeks out and I say: "I'm going to go for a walk". By the time I've grabbed my airpods and put on shoes it's cloudy and rainy again.

The world is telling me exactly what I want to hear. Stay inside and fiddle around on the computer!

The old joke about di-hydrogen monoxide no longer seems clever or funny now that most people are subscribing to the system that will ensure you are covered in case of exposure...

it feels like everyone really knows how horrible the people in charge are, and that it's in the open now. But they are looking at the horrible people in charge expecting them to do something when what they already did was becaome the people in charge so the would be safe.
November 14, 2025 at 7:12 PM

November 14, 2025 at 1:42 PM
seem like people still confuse what will never happen with what might happen and decrease the possiblity of a positive outcome.
November 13, 2025 at 10:05 PM
the pervasive evil of the world would be so much more palatable if it wasn't so fucking stupid. Christ, have we no standards about this any more?
