I don’t think these conspiracy theories are a good thing but it is also interesting that we are now at a point where as soon as something evil happens people from all along the political spectrum are like oh israel must be behind it.

Thinking about the overwhelmed auntie who asked me for directions to the public library today at spui tram stop. There are currently weird barriers up all around the center and of course right between the underground exit and the adjacent library so I hope she found it 😭

I feel like my life would change if the grocery store started selling roasted vegetables. Would I like a roasted sweet potato salad? Sure! Do I want to have to roast some sweet potatoes just to see a salad? No! Also, I do not have an oven. But even if I did.

I’ve joined some nova scotian neighborhood Facebook groups and I gotta say they are generally delightful. It’s all ‘driving into town tmrw at 3pm if anyone needs a lift’ and ‘size 8 skates with no blades free to a good home’. Entering my boomer era.

My brother has been putting out a special winter seed block for the birds, in addition to the regular feeder, and one squirrel has been eating it before any birds can get to it. Well, it’s now in a squirrel-proof box and let’s just say he’s NOT HAPPY 😤 🐿️

Omg my new balcony solar fairy lights are on!! I installed them two days ago but they weren’t turning on and I couldn’t figure out why. I must have forgotten that I live in nl where there’s no sun so instead of 8 hours of daylight to fully charge it took 48 🫡

In the small middle-of-nowhere subdivision where I grew up we’d get 2, maybe 3 full pillowcases each before calling it a night (we’d have to haul a full bag home, empty it out, then head back out) and only now do I realize how bonkers that was.

Last night when making dinner I put a half of a stock cube in a coffee cup and made a mental note to remove and store it properly. You’ll never guess what just happened when I took a sip of my nice mid afternoon freshly brewed coffee.
