Mavis Had a Little Lamb-The Punk Version

Mavis had a little lamb
Then she ate some cakes
Some Cottage Pie
A jug of milk
And a bag of jelly snakes

The people in the café
All feared she’d explode
But she let out a monster burp
And landed on the road.

Writing Advice:
'Pretend that you believe in your talent. Pretend that you believe you can write. Invent yourself as a writer, then do the writing. In time, the authenticity will catch up to the invention.'

Foisting sentence starters on young writers produces writing that reminds me of fast food. A stultifying sameness results. Mass produced blandness. Let's invest in thinking, and agency. #writing

The American electoral system presents as confusing, convoluted, and corrupted. It's also concerning how broken it is from an outside perspective and how the people accept it.

The potential of writer’s craft to leap from the page and slap me in the face is something I embrace. Wake up, pay attention the words scream. Whether it’s character description, vivid depiction of a setting, or the way the writer challenges me to think about an issue or event. Always exciting.
