Getting older is like evolving Pokemon, its not always slow and gradual growth, its often sudden extreme skill switching and acquisition

Getting older is like evolving Pokemon, its not always slow and gradual growth, its often sudden extreme skill switching and acquisition
I'm feeling like a kid in a candy store getting to collaborate on some really exciting research with a specialist researcher at the moment. Reading her plans of what we are going to do just makes me so happy!

I wish people wouldn’t book seat reservations in the quiet coach if all they want to do is talk loudly and endlessly and roll their eyes about being respectful to other passengers. What’s with that?

Growing up on a farm rats were something we often talked about, however we didn't call them rats, they were always "Rolands" or "Dereks". The Dereks were the biggest ones. The Rolands just the general ones.
It was completely normal to say stuff like "I've just seen the Derek with the crooked tail"

I’ve been doing volunteer reading with seven year 2 children at my daughter’s primary school this year and I did my final session of the year yesterday. They are such brilliant young people & they have been the highlight of my week 🥲 one of them wrote me the sweetest note in my notebook

One of the greatest joys of working in user experience is getting to meet people who are experts in things I am not and getting to learn so much from them. Unexpected topics are the best, and ones I know very little about.
