Next year needs to mark not the end of the Second Rail Revolution, but its expansion. And that’s why we are working so hard across so many fronts to sustain the national commitment to trains that are frequent, reliable, and accessible to every American.

I mean, look, I'm not a reporter, so who am I to talk?

But on a day where the president both just called a woman reporter "Piggy" and is celebrating someone who had people bone saw apart one of my colleagues, I might just be a little ready to defend my colleagues and profession.

But that's just me

Illinois' SB 2111 set up a dedicated fund for intercity rail projects, which is authorized for up to $342 million annually. If Iowa had the same funding per capita, we would have $87 million annually for intercity rail.

Instead we have $0. Imagine what we could do with $87 million.
