hi, i'm saint! i'm an artist inspired by the decorative and ornamental art of the 1800s, naturalism in painting, and organic designs. i use a wide range of techniques and mediums to make creature-focused art (all handcrafted) and i love to oil paint live at cons!
anyway if anyone ever wants help with tailoring their experience or resume to try and break into working in the admin of higher ed, hit me up, i think it's a great field for work / life balance and the benefits are pretty choice
i frequently think about how my life is easier and more pleasant than so many people across all of human history. thats how chill and nice my life is rn. i feel like i can finally exhale after stressing non-stop about my future prospects since like. 2016
also discovered I love being in charge of projects, actually. very fun and occasionally rewarding.
i keep waiting for the other shoe to drop but it hasn't yet. i can't believe how lucky i am. i am so glad they hired me
it's been six months and I'm still regularly reeling in wonderment of how chill and nice my job is and coworkers are. like. wow. it's surreal. you mean I can just do the job I was hired for, using the skills I in particular possess ? and people, my boss included, appreciate and respect my skills?

seeing your work in person at IX was absolutely amazing!

ean sucks but once she realizes something is wrong she will try to Fix Things or Die Trying. she's also a religious zealot who believes her own existence is a sin against the world 🥰
unfortunately ean is the worst example of a woman, unlike his perfect lady river, so altan shall suffer ean's ire for lady river's sake. gender roles and norms are enormous in this story. distressingly so. please look forward to it.
meanwhile, altan has no clue who she is, bc the most traumatizing day in ean's life was just another fucking tuesday for altan. if anything altan is curious about ean bc his lady river shows an interest in her, for reasons he doesn't really understand.
river / ean / altan have a weird love triange going on. only its not a love triangle, ean and altan just both adore river and river doesn't really care about either of them. and then ean hates altan and wants him dead.
this is so not optimized for viewing in uhh. any way possible. but would you like a little bit of character dynamics from my ongoing, backburner late medieval post-apoc fantasy project, full of terrible and mediocre people doing their very best and fucking it up, repeatedly

Though NPR has lost federal funding, we're committed to keep bringing you the arts because it is core to our mission.

there are only two options in this world. be a person with an animal face, or an animal with a person face. gotta pick one.
they're uhhhmm. very antagonistic for the majority of the narrative BUT the MC is able to work with them, sorta, for reasons unclear to all involved. they're horrible cthonic forces of nature, the revenge of generations of wronged women given human faces and the ability to murder for fun
should the harpies in my late medieval post apocalypse fun little fantasy story have horrible reaching arms and boobs y/n. im kinda on the fence. do the arms make them more monstrous, or more like a typical taur creature?

Please check your kids’ Halloween candy carefully this year.

I bit into a chocolate bar and found Microsoft Teams.

Kurt Vonnegut’s definition of what makes something “art” is one of my favorites I’ve seen - from a letter to his brother in 1995.
it sounds so fucking corny but i think im enraptured enough by the natural world around me that I'm not looking to make many changes. and also I don't have the inspo that comes from playing in a RP campaign or something idk
as the years go on the more I want to paint just the most straightforward of concepts. some animals. pet portraits. landscapes from life. idk when it changed but it's unexpected, i always thought I'd want to use my skills in service to fantasy illustration / character work
Considering how this person interacts with the world and basic home care tasks their opinion should mean less than dog water to you. easier said than done but Jesus.
