Really enjoyed talking to Cole, not least because we got to enthuse at length about one of my favourite films, Wonder Boys
A new episode of the 5AM StoryTalk Podcast has dropped! @joebarton.bsky.social – creator of TV series like 'Black Doves', 'The Lazarus Project', and 'Giri/Haji' – discusses synthethizing his British and Hollywood influences, one of the craziest greenlight stories I've ever heard, and so much more.

Smuggled @janicehallett.bsky.social into my suitcase for Egypt, and she's nailed it once again. Gripping, whip-smart and compelling as ever, and made me snort-laugh at least once a page. Out in September, totally essential. @viperbooks.bsky.social @mirandajewess.bsky.social

Halfway through my first holiday read, and it's an absolute banger. Genuinely don't know which way it's going to go - it's brilliantly written, with a peach of a main character, and a delicious sense of dread. And it's set in Egypt! And I'm in Egypt! Stellar work @chrisbolland.bsky.social

'This book is a work of fiction. It is not a confession.'

Read the opening of #TheMidnightKing, a dark and twisty thriller from Tariq Ashkanani. Out this Thursday, it's a must-read for fans of Thomas Harris or Chris Whitaker.

It's my first crossover episode with the brilliant @ukpageone.bsky.social I had a great time talking to them about my books, writing journey and anything else that popped into my head 😂
It’s a podcast crossover episode as @nadinematheson.com from “The Conversation” podcast joins us to talk about how her brilliant debut novel went to auction - and what that really felt like!

Who knew the possibility of a US book tour could be so nerve-wracking? With shifting visa rules and authors being sent home on arrival, is it worth the risk? I’m sharing my thoughts and asking, ‘Are you still booking that flight?’

Not a massive Dylan fan, but A Complete Unknown is transfused with precious, rare, transportitive movie magic, and I loved every second of it. Should be seen on the biggest screen possible with an ear-blasting sound system.
