Every house needs an ice cream container of miscellaneous buttons. The posh ones have glass jars of buttons. They will come in handy during the coming apocalypse when we discard notes and coins for bartering buttons.

Yesterday @ajebec posted a new batch of portable graffiti in the local area. I knew where it was, grabbed the car keys and went on an impromptu excursion in the rain to snaffle a piece (I left other pieces behind to be snaffled up).
Currently it's on the fridge but I'll repost it somewhere else soon

The text and illustrations gorgeously complement each other. Zoe's text is sublime and Estee's black and white illustrations open up the world in a myriad of ways to read. Each time I read the text and pore over the illustrations there is something new to learn.

On a lovely serendipitous day, Love Your Bookshop Day, @zoegaet and @estee.estee launched their new picture book, Being Indy (@westwordschildrens)
It is a remarkable story of helping children know who they are and what they can become when they understand the power of their identity.
