My goal working in #climate is that on Jan 1st, 2050, my dear friend who - despite many other fine qualities - doesn't believe in #climatechange will turn to me and say, "I told you so. Nothing much happened."

I shall perfect my delivery of, "Yes, dear" as the date approaches.
And your gay uncle was trapped in a loveless marriage with a woman who thought there was something terribly wrong with her because she couldn't talk to anyone about it, so they each cried themselves to sleep in perfect silence.

Ah, the good old days.
Just saying it always makes my day when it comes up so thank you!
BTW this was the no1 family movie we could all agree on every Christmas, I've seen it >30 times. I even started work on a musical of it once with a dance sequence called Larak Tarath where they dance through the chompers while Sir Alex opens the window thingy and they all sing the chant.
What does it WANT? What is its motivation?
Well of COURSE she didn't assault anyone, how could she do that when she is clearly busy carrying around 16-ton balls
Right!? And maybe just one graph with a line for each fundraiser, all on the same scale.
Either that or he is nodding to the fact that the entire bunch was spoiled mush from the get-go.
I was against Brexit and I work in climate now so this particularly tickles me, because Cassandra is a perfect story in both cases.
Exactly. This can include, "You promised for 20+ years that you would fuck off forever if you got Brexit. When do you plan to keep this promise?"
OK but like what if it's Beyonce instead

As a British born person in California, my sign for Saturday says:

"Born British. One king is more than enough"
I like the concerned son vibe here, it is perfectly calibrated to piss Trump off and make him less able to snap back effectively.
The Grimm brothers have a lot to answer for.
If they're not having children they're not parents, brainiac.
Yeah that annoys the hell out of me. If you're trying to teach "how to create an easily understood Y axis" this is a case study in what not to do.
So Sanders is the biggest fundraiser among The Youth?

So if he can stick around another 35 years for his cohort to age into the power-holding positions across society, he might really have a shot!
I wonder what % of elites in each place owe their money directly to fossil fuels?

Also, for Aussies, the poorer you are, the more climate change you personally experience. For Brits, the RICHER you are, the more you experience (because it bites harder in other places, so it helps have to travel.)
Also British big-C Conservatives do tend to believe in the science and care about small-c conservative things like conservation. So it doesn't surprise me that they are worried about it.
I find it less strange. Tories have their roots in people used to having power and not having to be polite. Labour's roots are in people used to asking nicely. It's not that being entitled (sometimes literally) is good, it's just very helpful if you can point it in the right direction.
Of Ukraine or by Ukraine? I'm guessing the latter but just confirming.
Well this is a silly thing to engage him on. NYC Mayor isn't in charge of foreign policy so who cares what he thinks about it? His job is COL, transit, housing, etc.
Car makers won't retool to meet (a lack of) regs that'll be overturned in 3y. Plus, market fundamentals in CA are still all about EVs.

The admin will have negative climate impact doing this, but in the longer term they're just reorganizing deckchairs on the Titanic of internal combustion vehicles.
