i want to recommend it to you it's called Ghost Killer (2024) the whole time watching it i was like damn i wish i could make games, a yakuza-inspired game w/ this kind of plot would go so hard. it definitely wasnt a horror though LMAO idk why its listed as one.

speaking of yakuza movies/media though i watched a movie today because my gf and i are on horror movie binges around sep/oct and we watched one today that was straight up a yakuza-esque jdrama. it was sick though!!

also im such a sucker for additional content so im kinda pogged to the extreme here. ultimately, some people are averse to playing games that feel like a decline in the series when they play remakes of earlier chronological entries, so having Y3 be more accessible through YK3 is a good thing.

very weird that rikiya is getting a change though. Probably because his original VA also voices haruka's babydaddy and is also the model so they didnt want much overlap since he's such an important character? but still.

ok but actual thoughts. yakuza 3's minigames are so dumpsterfire bad and made the game's plat such a slog it really hindered what would otherwise be an amazing yakuza game. I also really love the dragon engine now that it's been refined past it's iteration in kiwami 2/6, so thats gonna be sick.

LMAO it's funny i actually really love the first movie adaptation and i have it on dvd where yakuza 1 should be on my shelf if i didnt own it only digitally.. i hope i like this one as much but i do also really understand what you mean. sheen this is the 7th time youve shown yakuza 1 to the class
