I mean, I'm aware that people calling any fps a "doom clone" didn't suddenly stop being a thing, instead it slowly tailed off... you might say that it had a half-life 😆 It's ok to not like block games but the "[famous game] clone" epithet is too dismissive, you'll miss out on cool stuff doing that.
