I subcontracted to some solar sellers to do the installs, most people thought they had bought backup power for grid down- that was before batteries were being sold.

I started in the solar thermal business. That's where storage makes sense. Instead of batteries, store energy as heat/hotwater.

I used to do off grid installs with 1000Ah wet nicad battery banks requiring a room, not a box, ventilation, & ignition protection. I installed change-over switches and 5-12kW inverters. Electric showers are a huge power draw & very inefficient. Ideally, for off grid, you need wind power, too.

The Dem committee needs over 100,000 valid signatures across multiple congressional districts before the state’s 90-day window expires on Dec. 11 to let voters decide on the maps.

Missouri Democrats have an opportunity to block a new congressional map. They say they’re largely on their own.

Despite relatively little investment from Washington, Missouri and Ohio Democrats are looking to block new Republican-drawn maps through uncertain avenues.

The batteries that are installed with PV are almost pointles for the consumer. They are extra profit for the installation company. They wouldn't store enough power to run the circulation pump for 24 hours.

The batteries sold with solar PV is a very new thing. I was doing PV installs 15-20 years ago, & no one installed batteries. Then i saw batteries rated in kWh! Batteries are for enhineering purposes rated in Ah & CCA. Kilo Watt Hours were being used as a selling point for consumers.
