hmm . many things to think about lol
we have a work in progress blog thing that i might redesign for what we want and put up on a vps when we get a chance, but who knows when we'll have the energy for that 😔✌️ it's okay though, it's not super important or anything honestly X3

actually we've been really thinking about making a public blog of some kind again. not sure if it'd be on here, tumblr, or our personal website? but we want to like, start doing stuff in public again. not necessarily for attention or anything like that, moreso for... socialization? accountability?

insurance finally activated so we get to go to the doctor and hopefully get a therapist soon yay

and for those of you wondering about me, i'm a disabled artist & developer that's repeatedly failed to turn those things into a career. i know how hard it is when you couple your identity with your outcomes, and i'm currently doing the work to break that connection. you can too. i believe in you ❤️

but just because it's hard doesn't mean it can't or shouldn't be done. you are worth the process to feel better because you exist. you deserve to have an identity that makes you feel happy and fulfilled because you are alive. it will take time, and it'll take energy, but it's worth it. i promise

and no, none of this is easy. it's HARD to do the work to decouple your outcomes from your identity. we live in a society that determines worth based on what you contribute, of COURSE it's going to be hard! people need therapy to do this a lot of the time even!

many people who become disabled after forming an identity around their work or hobbies struggle with this especially. being unable to do things as much as you used to- or being unable to do them at all- is frustrating and depressing. but still, we learn that we aren't our outcomes, but our actions

(of course, this is all not accounting for inherent things like being queer/disabled/a person of color/etc. shhh we're not talking about that right now. this is about the parts of your identity that you forge yourself)

you are you because you DO, not because you meet some stranger's ideas of quality or productivity. your identity should be based on the things you can control: the specific actions you can take. if the outcomes of those actions aren't decided by you, then they shouldn't be involved in your identity

you are a creator because you create. you are an artist because you make art. you are a writer because you write. it doesn't matter if these things meet some arbitrary idea of "good", it doesn't matter if these things sell or get likes or kudos or reposts. that's what's important

so many people in this thread really don't understand what's being said here 😭

base your identity on what you like to do. base your identity around your hobbies or crafts. but don't base them around the outcome- base it around the action of creating or doing. that's the point here

but yeah, things are a work in progress as always. currently dealing with the crushing weight of family/house drama, financial insecurity, ending a 5-year relationship (plus the trauma we experienced during the relationship), and our overall health & disabilities. we'll survive tho prolly <3

we started to go heavily into hermit mode around the time we had someone use a public mental health breakdown against us, and i really want to undo that damage. if people try to use our struggles against us again, then oh well. frankly i think it says more about them than it does us lmao

gonna try dropping the professionalism/"i can't talk about our health" mask on this account. might mean we vent more often, not really sure yet. honestly though, we just miss being more open about our life and situation without letting it stress us out to hell and back

it's uh... man. things are hard tbh. still don't really know what we're gonna do on the financial front, cuz we're not really in any shape to work right now and for whatever reason commissions are making us feel worse. i'm sure it's just The Stress but it's still tough to figure out 😭

ok hi it's been a minute. we're still perishing and struggling with stuff but we're settled in with our family and working on some small stuff again to keep us sane 👍

UPDATE: We moved from our ex's back to our family's house; things are better for us mentally, but physically we've got a LOT of stuff going on.

UPDATE: we hit our breaking point with our ex, and we're going back to live with family for the time being.

We've been trying desperately to avoid this due to the health hazards of the house, but at this point I think it's ultimately a better place for us than living here is.

Heya, we're back again with another quarterly update!

Here's a TL;DR:
- We released some new bot features!
- We're still having a bad time :(
- We'll be switching gears to focus on some other endeavors for a while </3

If you’re doing the “trans men in women’s toilets” gotcha, 1) you’re making what was always a crap argument 2) you’re revealing that you haven’t read the UK Supreme Court judgment because it says trans men aren’t allowed in women’s spaces (because we look like men) OR men’s spaces

we'll probably need medical intervention for that at this point, bc i think we either have plantar fasciitis or bone spurs or something of that sort. but that also costs money and requires transport and then requires recovery time and... it's easier to just walk on it frankly. even if it hurts.
