I started to design some birthday cards for my entomology colleagues this year; sometimes, I asked if a birthday was coming up soon, and other times I got asked if I could make a card. I really enjoyed this Sagra femorata here because of the metallic surface, which is always a pleasure to color!
I am waiting for the battery of my camera to charge so I can continue filming another making-of. I could be finished by now, but here we are 🫠😅 sounds like the beginning of a late night art session
Finished my first tutorial today, still have to learn a lot in matters of creating videos, but I enjoyed every step of the process

I had my final presentation of my last practical today, and all my sketches from when I was waiting for my data were framed and put on the wall 😅 thanks again @kreysinglab.bsky.social feel very honored 😁
Another lab to leave some footprints :) also lasting a bit longer than a drawing on a chalkboard
#postitart
Some weekend spring drawings. My favorite is the little rabbit; it's cute and a bit sus at the same time 😂
Entered my almost yearly portrait phase
My type of christmas elfs ✨️😎
That time of the year ✨️
My colleagues asked if I could create something as a little present for another colleague who's retiring soon. I realized I didn't paint a lot of mammals for a while with all these invertebrates around me 😅
Could watch it non-stop 🩷😅
During my vacation, I finally found some time to shape the grasshopper, and now that it's dry again I can put it in the freezer for the next couple weeks until it's time to place it in the final drawer. Still have to write the label
One more piece of insect art
Plagodis dolabraria, the scorched wing
This one is #35, so you can imagine how the doorframe looks 😅, but it's not only my frame anymore, I'm expanding to the ones of my colleagues, too. You just have to follow the traces to find my workplace at this point (luckily, everyone's very supportive) 😅
What's window art in the lab is post-it art at the museum. Whenever I find an interesting insect species, I sketch it on these little sheets of paper. I only use pens here, so I don't spend too much time as there are more species than I could count. Once finished, I put them on the doorframe /1
A firebird found its way into the lab today; with the construction work in the background, it could also be a phoenix at this point.
Day 2 of #inktober2024 : Hurl
You know what time of the year it is 😁
I decided to do a fully entomology inspired inktober challenge this year. Let's see if I can manage through all the days, but maybe I will take some rest days, maybe not. After all, it's a little adventure to me and just for fun. Day 1 shows a bombardier beetle
Second to last day of my practical, time to leave some art here 😁
