I had the paperback MAD! books, and so I saw their version of Clockwork Orange when I was about 12. It gave me nightmares. I saw the movie when I was 25 and it had relatively little effect.

my 1st exposure to this movie was in Sept 1976

from Mad Magazine issue #185, "Borey Lyndon (Kubrick-a-Brack Dept);" a Barry Lyndon (Mort Drucker?) parody with one character holding another in a headlock with the following text balloons:
A: I really detest you, Borey Lyndon!
B: Why...?
A: Because I'm supposed to be 18, and you 45! And you look YOUNGER than I do!
C: How gauche! Stop that fighting this minute! You want to wake up the audience?!?

yes, title, from Lady Lyndon's husband, descends to his son, Lord Bullingdon. The book explains it only a little better, but you must endure Thackeray.
