Now Brad Briner is driving costs up again as he uses the Treasurer position as a political launch pad for higher office. Briner also took away the tobacco attestation, which takes away a positive health incentive that helps cut health costs. Perfect way to support Big Tobacco!

From 2017 – 2025, Treasurer Dale Folwell drove these costs even higher as he was more focused on running for higher office. Fortunately, he lost every time he ran. Unfortunately, he took his failures out on us.

Healthcare for state employees is one of the worst problems. NC teachers, police, fire fighters, labor & office civil servants pay more than any other state. Even our more red neighbors TN & SC offer lower costs! The NC House & Senate & all Republican officials should be embarrassed.

It's happening all over the country. Some of them are delusional, but many of them are getting paychecks from Big Tech to push this disguised as "academic grants." They're selling out the profession for a quick buck.

Some of these English professors who read an article or two about AI think they're now computer science experts who can teach a course on how to use AI. Why did you become an English professor if you're were just going to jump on the anti-English, anti-intelligence, anti-creative bandwagon?
