Finally caught Nagi's section up to Beat's section in the witch AU... kinda, anyway?? It's complicated 😅 But moving on to Rhyme's section next~ And as always, a little peek at what I worked on today~

That wouldn’t do. Nagi charged her psych and slashed again, but her sword only bounced off. Could this pig truly be impervious to all attacks? Nagi let out a whimper as she backed into another pig, tripping over its round form and falling on her butt and knocking her glasses askew.
This was it—the end for her. She was about to meet her doom from the cloven hooves of—
Suddenly, a strange bubble of liquid formed over her. Nagi instinctively held her breath as it rippled overhead. Was this a ploy of the pig’s? Would this dastardly trap drown her?
Though try as it might, the pig couldn’t get through. It beat its head against the water, then huffed, then puffed. But it couldn’t blow this barrier down.

As a heads up, the next chapter of the witch AU might take a little bit to finish, but that's because I'm writing at least three chapters simultaneously. I've never done something quite like this before, but I'm hoping it'll pay off in the end~

But for now, have a Nagi excerpt >.>~

It hadn’t been that long since Nagi had lost sight of her companions in this maze of pork madness. While Lord Rindo and his friend had headed up towards Cat Street, she’d chosen to follow Lord Minamimoto, who she thought had passed through Spain Hill. As she emerged by Parco with no sign of the math witch, though, she suddenly realized that she had ended up alone against the might of a thousand swine.
But unlike in Volume 1, chapter 17 of Elegant Strategy, no Tomonami would show up to save the main heroine from the horde of goblins.

Working on the next chapter of the witch AU, and... well, this happened.

“Hell yeah! I’ve got this in the bag, yo!”
“Tell me, is your head just made of empty muscle?”
Beat almost dropped his sword, yanking his head around to figure out where the hell Priss’ voice came from. A glint of light caught his eyes, and Beat moved to slash—before realizing his own tome had taken to flight on its own accord. Though with Priss’ smug mug on it, maybe slashing it wouldn’t be that huge a setback.
“The hell’s your problem, yo?” he growled instead. “I jus’ got you a buncha pigs!”
“Do you honestly believe every pig out here is built the same? Those weaklings you just mowed down have so little Soul that you might as well feed me air in a can.”
“You mean that stuff they got at Modi? It ain’t that bad.”
Joshua’s eyebrow twitched. “Please tell me you’re not serious.”
“Sure I am. I can getcha some after this.”
“You know, Beat. I’m impressed. You continue to hit new lows.”
“Thanks, yo!” He turned his attention past the tome as more pigs ambled into the plaza. All the same dull gold as the ones he’d just taken out. “So what, should I not be fighting these things?”

The Pig symbols were everywhere. They zipped around the city before releasing, the plump Noise inciting yelps from unsuspecting civilians.

“What the hell happened, yo?” Beat whispered next to him, and Rhyme poked her head under his arm to see better.

“They’re all coming out at once, almost like they’ve been summoned by something…”

“Summoned?” Neku’s gaze fell on the doll in Shiki’s arms.

She noticed his look and immediately waved a hand. “D-don’t look at Mr. Oinkers like that! He didn’t do this!”
