I’m reminded of Harper Lee’s Go Set. A watchman. I was at a job interview at a bookstore a day or two after it came out the manager kept having to stop the interview to go and help customers get more copies of it.

My dad stole the history book my mum was reading and she couldn’t find it. Only to discover it’s been regulated to bathroom cabinet side reading alongside a water stained copy of carbon copy and some lesser Goodfellas styled memoir on the mob in boston.
