The best place to look is in the opinion columns in their college papers. They put their names and faces next to some shit.

The Daily Tar Heel at UNC likes to run articles written in their pages by current state GOP leaders. It’s always foul.

That was tense on my campus, and they were dancing around throwing gasoline.

They were obviously a propaganda outlet not a serious journalism shop. It’s not like The National Review gets a press pass.

The issue was with the actual media keeping up the kayfabe to protect Fox.

Like, do they think medical masks were invented in 2020?

Because calling people who mask “fearful” and stoking public resentment means that elderly chemo patients are refusing to mask due to the widespread and open social stigma.

But even mention that and they rage out.

The thing that shocks me at this point is how reflexive and vicious the lashing out is. They still feel they are victimized by maskers despite having “won.”

Where, from my perspective, they have scorched the earth so well that even people who need to mask for other reasons feel pressure not to.

The Fog - There’s a brief topless scene, but it is very much Carpenter’s “Spielberg” movie. Seen it reviewed more than once as YA Horror.

Tremors - fun and genuinely scary in places

American Werewolf London - Bit more intense in places but it one of the best comedy horrors

This isn’t creeping conservatism being consolidated, but active and feral fascism.

And we have enough perspective to know that burns out fast. The only fascist states that lasted more than a generation had protection from larger powers. Still gone.
