Just talked to Addison Barger, Davis Schneider and DeMarlo Hale here on workout day for tomorrow’s pre-Game 3 episode of Deep Left Field.

I need your #Bluejays comments and questions for the mailbag, though! Send them to [email protected] by 8:00pm Eastern. Thanks! #Jays

Thank you! I felt like it was required at that point.

Ten years ago today, Jose Bautista hit #Bluejays biggest home run of the 21st Century, bringing #Jays all the way back to win a series in which they lost the first two games at home.

I put together an oral history of the event.
If you haven't seen it yet, do yourself a favour and check it out here:

I have touched down in Seattle, getting ready to head over to #Bluejays off-day workout where I expect they’ll be an undaunted and determined bunch. More so than some of the fans who contributed to the mailbag in this morning’s bonus episode:
It's bleak. But as bleak as it is, the Jays have overcome the odds before

#Bluejays are two losses away from the end of their season as they head to Seattle to resume the ALCS tomorrow.

I talk about that in today’s playoff bonus episode of Deep Left Field, speak to #Jays Nathan Lukes and open the mailbag at [email protected]!

Good early morning!

It’s going to be a long travel day for me on the way to Seattle, but I should be there in time to cover #Bluejays off-day workout.

While I’m on my way, you’ll get a new episode of Deep Left Field featuring #Jays Nathan Lukes and your comments in the mailbag! Coming soonish!

Did you not see Yesavage not strike anyone out after the second inning, with his velocity dropping and about to face the heart of the order for the third time? It was time for him to go. Gausman probably should have had one more hitter Sunday, but only one.

Just put the Tuesday morning playoff bonus episode of Deep Left Field to bed and you're gonna love it!

You'll hear from #Bluejays Nathan Lukes, who had half their hits Monday and we open the mailbag to hear from #Jays fans optimistic, despondent and just plain off the wall.

Look for it Tues. morn!

Last chance to get in for the Deep Left Field mailbag so you can have your voice heard about #Bluejays Game 2 loss,

Email [email protected], but you gotta do it now. Thanks! #Jays

Hoping I get to come back here for some baseball this year.

Get your #Bluejays questions/comments to me at [email protected] so you can have your voice heard on our Tuesday morning bonus episode!

The mailbag is open at [email protected] so please send me your #Bluejays comments and questions for the upcoming playoff bonus episode of the podcast!

I will not be entertaining any “season’s over” questions. The last time #Jays were down 2-0 at home in the playoffs was 2015 vs. Texas.

The last time #Bluejays lost the first two games of a playoff series at home was in 2015, in the ALDS against the Texas Rangers.

#Bluejays need to win at least two of three in Seattle for there to be another game here at the dome this year.

I want to hear from you at [email protected] for the next episode of Deep Left Field. The mailbag is open!

We should wait for this season to be over first.

A new battery for #Bluejays in the ninth inning, with Eric Lauer in to pitch and Tyler Heineman coming in to catch with #Jays trailing 10-3.

Let's have those comments and questions to [email protected] please!!

Josh Naylor is the fourth Canadian-born player to hit a post-season home run in Canada and the first non #Bluejays to do it.
wilnerness.bsky.social
This is Chris Bassitt's second relief appearance since 2019. Not quite a white flag from #Bluejays here, but close.

Bases loaded, 1out, top7. #Jays down 9-3.
wilnerness.bsky.social
Yes, so recent seasons. They've gotten to the ALCS in so many of their recent seasons.
wilnerness.bsky.social
Well, he is arguably their best hitter, after all.
wilnerness.bsky.social
If this feels familiar, you're not wrong.

Last night, 23 of the last 24 #Bluejays hitters were retired. Right now, going into top7, 13 of the last 14 #Jays have been set down.

Don't forget Deep Left Field! Email [email protected] with your Qs/comments to get your voice heard!!!

This four-run deficit is the largest #Bluejays have faced at any point in this post-season.
wilnerness.bsky.social
It doesn't, but it got them here.

I honestly don't know. We don't go daily very often, so that tends not to be a factor. I'm sure it's better after wins these days, though, because there's more buzz and excitement. Then again, maybe people want to listen after a loss for some calm analysis and realism.

What is going on with Daulton Varsho tonight? That's two plays he has looked terrible on.

Catchable ball becomes a leadoff triple for Mitch Garver. #Bluejays
