I think this refers to Airbnb type rentals. Having someone essentially live in a home for free, less utilities, doesn't sound like a short term rental. But I'm not a lawyer.
I honestly don't see how it's something that the DOJ would ever involve itself with under normal circumstances.

DOJ will probably try to argue that "short term rental" doesn't mean 5 years. And if there's a legal definition for "short term rental" in VA that specifies the length of time that actually entails, then that could be bad? But it's still so much splitting of hairs.

that it just doesn't always do it well. It over analyzes, tells lies, catastrophizes, all purportedly to keep me safe. But my 🧠 is just churning out thoughts. I don't need to listen to all of them. They're not all actually helpful.
I don't know if that makes sense, but that reframe has helped me.

If you can catch your 🧠 in one of those unhelpful thoughts before your body responds in the unhelpful way, you can slow the whole thing down. It takes practice, being able to tell your own 🧠 to fuck off. But it really has helped me to understand that my 🧠 is just trying to do it's job. & I know...

Something a therapist said about the 🧠 really helped me reframe how I deal with ACK thoughts. The 🧠's job is to create thoughts, so many thoughts, all the time. Sometimes 🧠 sends thoughts that aren't helpful. Then, the body responds w/it's own ACK. Physiological responses that also aren't helpful.
