It’s been a little over 5 years since moving out of my hometown in SoCal. I can’t say I miss California much besides the beach / family (it’ll always be special though), Connecticut will always be the closest to my heart, and whether or not I stay in Arizona long term, I’ll always love it dearly. 🌵💛

I want to visit New Jersey one day just to experience it myself! I want a shirt that says “I survived New Jersey and couldn’t even pump my own gas!”

All he said was “Yeah… I grew up there and all, I didn’t really care for it. I like Arizona much better.” I still to this day don’t know what New Jersey did to this nice man… he told me he loved Connecticut a lot whenever he’d stop by it… not one nice thing to say about Jersey though. 🥀

“Eh, beaches were okay but west coast beaches are better. Terrible traffic there, terrible people. It’s horrible.” and the other guy I knew, really nice and cheery dude around my age, he mentioned being from Jersey so I asked him how he liked it… lemme tell ya how his big smile turned so nervous…

I’ll never forget the old man I worked with and his thick Jersey accent… I asked him how living there was like and he said “I FUCKING hated it! I hate New Jersey! Fucking awful place!” and I was like “There’s gotta be something you like about Jersey! 😅” and he was like…

I think I’d be willing to live just about anywhere. The only place I’d be hesitant on is New Jersey, because the last two coworkers I knew that were from there talked about the state like they were traumatized. (I’m sure away from the cities are nice, I know they have nice forests too!)
