Bear with me this has kinda just came to me and I’m rambling but I wanna expand on the fact why I think fandom is so reluctant to label Sanji’s brothers as victims. It’s because they are evil.

Also you notice it with Vinsmoke fans where they ramp up Judge’s abuse against them which to me has always read they do not understand the subtleties that can come with certain types of abuse but also their abuse is not valid unless it’s thrown in our faces

Op fandom cannot accept that you can be a victim and also a bad person at the same time and this extends to even outside of fandom. Once you are a ‘victim’ you’re immediately labelled as a virtuous person because you have been wronged when in reality

We see it quite literally and her internal dilemma when it comes to Sanji. The brothers do not have any of this, at first the narrative presents them as nothing more then bullies but when you peel back the layers and look further into their panels there’s more to them then meets

That victimisation (from the characters we’ve seen) are the ultimate mark of morality, being a victim in one piece means you are a good person and you cannot do wrong, if you’re on the wrong side of history it is ultimately because your ‘right’ actions have pushed you
