From the description I'm assuming Ledaig. The other one of theirs that I think is underrated is their Sinclair Rioja Cask finish. Just ordered one from RMW for under £35. Fantastic value.

Redbreast 15 Cask Strength is delicious apples but very sweet! I needed some peat and these two are superb. Connemara is sweet, clean, ashy smoke whereas the Ledaig is a dirty coal smoked fruit salad. Sounds terrible but tastes incredible. #whisky #whiskey

Earlier this year we did a blending class with Billy Walker where we tried to recreate his 12yo core release from the constituents. Impossible but great fun! I've always wanted to try and do JW Black but at cask strength just to see what it's like.

Cragganmore is a hidden gem. I'm pretty sure the VC is closed now, but I think their DE stuff is available at Cardhu. Usual VC pricing applies though, so brace yourself 😳

Discovered I am completely out of Glengoyne. Looking back the last one I had was an 18 but I didn't replace it. I need to look for a new one, I wonder what IB's are out there.

Strictly whisky time. My only Loch Lomond, I'm feeling inadequate after seeing that collection yesterday 🤣 The Del Bac is excellent, very gentle, sweet smoke. Almost rubbery. #whisky

On a fresh palate all I get is boiled sweets with no spice to cut through it. Not really getting the rum & raisin ice cream. Peach and lemon I can see, but candied lemon not citric. It's a very pleasant dram but I wouldn't get another. I prefer the Huntress ones. #whisky
