I’m sure a lot did, but it was not ever easy to get special education services in my experience in a poor urban district. Teachers really had to advocate and especially help educate the parents.

I decided I wanted to be in special education because one of my cousins was sight impaired so that I got to do it for as long as I did was really amazing. And I know people will fight. They fought like crazy to get the laws passed and there are some amazing advocates and parents and organizations.

I hear that in your voice and we have to fight on. This is not the world that I’m going to leave to my young grandchildren. There has to be a way back.

And I understand how difficult that must’ve been. I volunteered for over 15 years to go with parents while they were meeting with schools to determine what was going to happen with their special-needs children. When the ADA was authorized, I met with my boss for accommodations due to MS.

Yes as someone who started teaching special education in 1975 these laws saved children. Children were still being put into to institutions back then. To now watch it all fall apart, breaks my heart every single day. This is horrific for anybody with a disability. We are now less than.

What we really need to do is to stop or eat less meat, and/or fish and eat more vegetables. If we even cut back on cattle consumption, that would be amazing. Eating a creature like an octopus when they are so smart is very sad.

I appreciate all of our federal agencies and all of the employees and happy to learn more about them. I was happy to see that some of the information I was looking for was still available on the NOAA website.

Wow. 62% of people are able to recognize the advice from the orange fruit rollup can’t be counted on. My husband and I are recovering from Covid for the first time and a while out in the garden my neighbor explained his reasoning for not getting vaccinated. Aborted fetal parts. Probably placenta too

If we’ve landed anywhere, it’s back in the elementary school yard where the bullies call you stupid names, and try to intimidate. There aren’t any grown-ups in MAGA world. Just those awful kids that you never want in your classroom.

My husband and I are experiencing our very first case of Covid. If we weren’t vaccinated, I would’ve ended up in the hospital and he would not have been able to work in the garden the entire time he was sick. Now, I guess I wait three months before getting another vaccine.

And please also explain how my grandchild could be autistic when her mother is allergic to acetaminophen and took zero pain relievers during her pregnancy. This is going to cause a lot of needless suffering on the part of mothers who believe this and will feel guilty
