The republican party has been trying to destroy public education since integration.

I don't see philosophers and artists engaging in much resistance, and it doesn't seem like we think art has the power to transcend our collective despair and inspire revolution.

The German anti-fascist philosophers, activists, and artists believed art played a major role in supporting the revolution and resistance. They debated aesthetic theory and wrote great texts about art and revolution.

Where are the protectors of hip hop culture?

It seems like academics are the most concerned with preserving and elevating the culture, while only a few artists are doing the same.
