I have spent another two days in the mountains at Naturpark Ötztal to follow scientists that mapped vegetation at the 3497m high Mt. Schrankogel. And yes, I had an official permit to go camping. ⛺🌌 Camped under the Milky Way during the Perseid meteor shower.

❄️ Visited #Hintereisferner for a video project — a #glacier in Tirol’s Naturpark Ötztal ranging from 2,500–3,750 m.
It holds one of the world’s longest records of glacier mass balance, a key to understanding climate change in the Alps.

The original was shot in 4K, 120 fps, 10-bit. The version on #Bluesky is 1080 × 864 at 30 fps, about 65 MB in size. I really like how the 4×5 aspect ratio works for this one. Hope this helps. Cheers

Check out this time-lapse video of waves eroding an ice front from an experiment conducted in our cryogenic wave tank at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. The tank is housed in a walk-in freezer, and the waves are precisely controlled. This video captures about an hour of wave erosion.
