If the $600 version of WrestleFest is too much for you, a smaller $250 version also exists. Games included:

3) The Big Pro Wrestling! (aka Tag Team Wrestling)

Mattel lost the rights and haven’t had them since 2023. Even canceled an Ultimate Savage figure due to the rights lapse.

The removal of characters from these games were not announced prior to release by Basic Fun directly.

Savage, Hawk, Animal, Slaughter, and Andre getting scrubbed was confirmed through YouTuber PDubs Arcade Loft asking Basic Fun directly.

Bad deal all around. God bless emulation.

WWE WrestleFest game has the same issues but worse. The removal of The Legion of Doom give you no final boss characters and removes their iconic cutscene with voiceovers. Okerlund cut from the game as well along with Sgt. Slaughter as a selectable character. (Via @/rgt85)

Basic Fun released a $600 WWF WrestleFest mini cabinet that not only had the graphics retooled to include the modern WWE retro logos (expected) but characters were also removed.

Included as well, the WWF Superstars game minus Macho Man Randy Savage, Andre the Giant, and Gene Okerlund. (Via @/rgt85)

There's quite a lot of stuff coming out of Comic Con, whether it's figures, TV or comics. There's also the disastrous release of Basic Fun's WWE WrestleFest, which should serve as an example for anyone hoping for ports of games featuring licensed characters. t.co/XlkTvP5rRR 🤼
